People are always going to look for entertainment whether they have twenty dollars or twenty thousand.  An industry that seems to be growing consistently would be none other than a geeks social networking paradise of adventure..MMORPG.  If you cant quite stomach that acronym then have no fear Mr. Dangerfield is here!  MMO is the first half that means Multi Massive Online, RPG is the second and it means Role Playing Game. Now do the math and add that together  MMO + RPG = the reason many of us gamers sit in front of a computer for hours on end.

 

 

  Many moons ago MMORPG’ers (UO, D2, Tibia, etc) were looked at as losers and social out casts.  Nowadays its rather hip and common to join the online community for some adventure.  This genre of gaming has actually been around for quite sometime  The first MMORPG to grace the interweb was Island of Kesmai.  If you can find a screenshot please post it in a comment.  I have yet to see actual screenshots.  I was actually hanging out in a crib when it was released, sadface.  The first graphical MMORPG was (this will sound familiar)  Neverwinter Nights (1991-1996) here’s a screenshot to showcase its….oldness?

Today people have hundreds of choices of MMORPGS to play. European Develpors seem to be making a rather dominant mark in the high end graphics market.  Darkfall Online and Age of Conan are the most talked about EU games at the moment.  We all must give credit where its due though,  WoW would be the largest and most well known MMORPG to ever suck the life out of anyone.  Here’s to you Blizzard, you kept us up way past our bed times.  You have gave us a legendary video known as Leery Jenkins, lets view that for some good old fashioned ell oh ells

There are plenty of other games that are well worth your while and have made a small notch in the belt of MMORPGS..however I do not have enough time for that because Greys Anatomy is calling, if thats completely not gay to watch.  If you dissagree, my defense is that my fiancee’ got me started on it.  So lets all hope that Izzy doesn’t die, McSteamy has a godspeed recovery from his penile fracture…and little grey goes to church.   Thats all folks <3 B.
